Starting the Conversation
Starting the Conversation

From the start, we work to really understand clients and their values, and find the right concept that supports and expresses both.

Seeking Inspiration
Seeking Inspiration

We approach design in terms of the big ideas that shape the project and begin to magnify the scope from there.

Creating a Vision
Creating a Vision

Good ideas come from teamwork. So armed with our site-specific research, our visioning workshops are where we bounce around ideas, challenge each other and share honest opinions until a common vision emerges and we come to the best design solution for your project.

Visiting the Site
Visiting the Site

We evolve an aesthetic in dialogue with the geographic location, cultural context and heritage, and particular nature of each building’s program. This results in a particular aesthetic that is unique and appropriate to each client and assignment.

Sketching ideas
Sketching ideas

With an established vision, an understanding of the site, and some defined sources of inspiration, we pick up our pencils and get to work drafting a series of initial concept sketches, exploring a range of possible designs.

Refining the concept
Refining the concept

Each project is served by a group of project architects directed by a single Principal, ensuring that the design intent is maintained and relationships are held from concept through completion.

Guiding Through Construction
Guiding Through Construction

Working together with the builders, we review building assemblies and refine construction details concurrently as we document the project. This allows us to directly engage ideas together with our clients and adjust the design, often to the benefit to cut cost and recognize time-saving techniques before construction begins.
